#1- Mac ScreenGrab Shortcuts
Press and hold Cmd + Shift, then press 4. Drag the diagonal lines of the area you want to take a screenshot. The screen image will appear as a .png file on your desktop and will be labeled ‘Screen Shot’ [year] – [month] – [day] hours [‘]’. What if you want to browse a single window on your desktop or capture a screenshot? As before, by pressing Cmd, Shift, 4, but when the diagonal lines come into the press area, the diagonal lines will become a camera symbol and the cursor will turn into the current window. Just click to get a screenshot of this window – the resulting image will also have a nice shadow effect. And if you do not want a shadow effect, you can add an Option (or Alt) key to give a final result without shadows.

The same technique can be used for screenshot menus. Press the Cmd, Shift, 4 keys, then press the Space key to move the camera icon over to the open menu pop-up menu.
